Ahmad Alkhamis – Director of International Recruitment

As Director of International Recruitment Ahmad is responsible for the development, management, evaluation and leadership of American Northwest University’s recruitment strategies and international admissions policies. He is also responsible for establishing partnerships to meet enrollment goals. Ahmad oversees the short and long term international recruitment initiatives for international recruitment activities to ensure effective partnerships between the university and students. In addition, he has over-all supervision and responsibility for international student services including rules and regulations

 

Edita Kalabic –  Director of Finance

Edita Kalabic holds a number of degrees and post-graduate certificates in Finance, Accounting, and Bookkeeping from the United States and overseas. She majored in Economics at the Osnabruck, Germany School of Business Administration and Economics, and obtained a degree in Accounting from the Zarem/Golde ORT Technical Institute in Chicago.

She has spent over 15 years in the finance and accounting profession, and has been Northwest Clinicals’ Director for Finance for over 4 years now. She manages all finance-related matters such as Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable, and everything bookkeeping-related.

 

Julia Jacobs – Student Coordinator

Julia serves as a Student Coordinator where she assists students in making difficult situations more manageable through direct support and connecting students to resources. In her role, she partners one-on-one with students to help them navigate and maximize their experience at the American Northwest University. Julia works to develop and cultivate a collaborative University-wide environment to coordinate and synchronize enrollment management from first contact through retention and persistence to graduation.

 

Dr. Abdallah Al-Moussa – Student Advisor

Dr. Abdallah Al-Moussa is an International Medical Graduate who obtained his medical degree at October 6 University in Egypt and completed a post-graduate training through the Northwest Clinicals program at Weiss Memorial, where he got pre-matched and is currently pursuing his medical residency in Internal Medicine.

As an IMG who has completed his internship through the Northwest Clinicals’ program, Dr. Al-Moussa serves as a Student Adviser for Northwest Clinicals’ and is excited to share his experiences and learnings.

 

 

Floresa Balondo, FSC – Writer & Editor

Floresa Balondo earned her BA in Journalism from the University of the Philippines and has worked in the media as Creative Writer and Editor. She then moved on to teach Journalism at a reputable state university in the Southern Philippines region, where she was selected as school paper advisor and coached young writers/students from the university who were sent to compete in national level writing competitions.

Her passion for writing and teaching has brought her to the Human Resources profession where she spent the last 15 years of her career, rotating in several positions such as Trainer, Business Communications Officer, Recruitment Specialist, and Leadership & Organization Development.

She holds a post-graduate diploma in Business Writing from the University of Asia & the Pacific (UA&P) and Corporate Human Resource Management from The Hong Kong Management Association (HKMA). She is a certified facilitator by the Development Dimensions International.

 

Tamara Petrov, MSA – Administrative Support

Tamara Petrov holds a Masters Degree from the University of Illinois in Carbondale. She taught at the International Academy for Design and Technology for over 10 years, serving as full time Faculty and Student Advisor & Coordinator.

Tamara developed a strong interest in working for the medical field in 2011, and has been in the profession ever since. Her strong people skills, upbeat personality and pleasant disposition, together with her over 10 years of experience as a student advisor, makes her a very effective and valuable member of the Northwest Clinicals team.

 

Atty. Khaja Din – Attorney-at-Law for Immigration and Visa Services

Atty. Khaja Din is a well respected immigration and criminal defense lawyer in Chicago. He earned his BA in Political Science from Northeastern Illinois University and completed his JD from the University of Wisconsin in Madison.

Atty. Din has been in practice for over 5 years and is an expert in immigration law.
